My Romanian Minerals came from
the region of Maramures, situated in the north-west of Romania. There are
very famous minerals districts and mines. The country seat is Baia Mare.
I have been informed that in September 2007 the pumps in the mines have
been turned off and the mines are flooded |

Two XX, twinned in an unusual
"butterfly" formation, 5.8cm wide; it is similar to the nice
formation of baryte in my
specimen
n.548. The biggest X is 4cm long.
