Niccioleta mines are very
famous mostly for pyrite crystals (often typically striated and elongated,
like the first photo in this page), but also for other minerals, such as
gypsum and sulphur too. The minerals can be found in two different occurrences: a group related with the
main ore minerals, and another group in the skarn occurrence

Group of celestine XX, the one in evidence is 2 cm long,
without damages. Celestine stands on a small mineralized matrix

Gypsum (selenite)
Semitransparent X (dimension: 8.5x7cm) well terminated, on calcite
matrix with
some small XX of quartz. On a corner there is a cubic X of pyrite,
with natural fractures, 2.5cm long. It is a typical sample from this mine, collected at
the beginning of the 80's
