This is an important mineralized vein in the Massa Marittina area with old mixed sulphides mines (copper, lead, zinc. Activity ended in 1985

 

 

Brochantite
Mineralized matrix covered by needles of brochantite up to 1cm long

Copper 
Thin plate of copper, partially altered and covered by malachite, on mineralized matrix. Probably it comes from Capanne Vecchie, in the Fenice Capanne mine area

Quartz
Group of quartz XX, up to 5 cm long, pale amethist. They have a strange termination, with inverted or fat scepter formation, as it is clearer in the other two photos
