Old Pb/Zn mine south of Fluminimaggiore, sometimes called Giovanni Longu mine (it is the name of the dressing plant area)

 

 

Calcite
XX up to 2.5cm long, similar to the "dogtooth" calcite (in this specimen the tips are less thick than in original dogtooth). Partially covered by yellow hemimorphite. The group of XX is grown on a big XX, I suppose of calcite: the mould is evident on the back

Fluorite
Group of XX, with cubic shape and combination cube - octahedron, max edge 2.5 cm, on small malformed XX of calcite. Fluorite XX are complex, some faces have frozen shape; color is is green, yellowish and pale pink and this is a common appearance from this mine
