The Cavradi gorge is about 6 km west-southwest from the village of Sedrun and is the northern portion of the Val Curnera. It is famous especially for hematite findings with intergrowth of dark red rutile, within a zone of about 400 m lenght in sericitic gneiss

Hematite 
Association between hematite (X about 3x3cm wide) and quartz; on the  hematite many bright and  well defined XX of red rutile  in the usual epitaxic growing (oriented overgrown of XX upon the surface of another XX of different mineral)

Hematite
Another piece from Cavradi, a X (1.4x2cm wide): lustrous  hexagonal XX, bright, with metallic luster, growing from feldspar and quartz matrix. There are, as usual, some  rutile in very small XX

The best hematite from Cavadri in my collection: a group of XX, 3.8x2.5 cm wide, on smoked quartz. It comes from the same place of previous photo, but it does not show rutile XX
